Take a photo of your plate.
Miamelo does the rest.
The app recognizes what's on your plate, estimates the amounts and works out calories and macros from official nutrition tables.
One-week free trial. iPhone, iOS 17 or later.
Three moments
Made for the days when you don't have time
Miamelo is most useful at the moments when nobody feels like typing anything.
A store-bought product
Scan the barcode: the product's values appear right away, free and with no limit. For an unknown product, Miamelo+ reads its label from a photo, or its details from the link to its page.
A dish you didn't cook
One photo is enough. Miamelo separates the foods, names them and estimates the amount of each.
The family meal
A dish cooked for the whole table: photograph your plate, or note once what went into the pot, and count only what you serve yourself.
In three steps
Snap, adjust, done
Aim at the plate
The photo takes itself as soon as the framing is right. You can also take it yourself.
Adjust if needed
A food misread or a portion too big? Tap it to change its name or amount, and the calories follow.
Add it to your log
One tap on “Add”, and the meal joins your day.
Where the numbers come from
Numbers that aren't pulled out of thin air
The AI only recognizes the foods and estimates the amounts. Calories and macros are read from official nutrition tables, or from the product's label for packaged items.
Your targets
A calorie target that fits your body
Your target is calculated from your profile, then refined with what your iPhone already measures: your energy expenditure and your weigh-ins over the weeks.
On a day when you move more than usual, the day's target goes up accordingly. It never goes down on a quiet day.
A day above your target shows up as information, not as a failure: the app will never ask you to make up for it the next day.
Home
Where you stand, at a glance
What's left to eat today, your protein, carbs, fat and fiber, your hydration, your cycle, and a daily health score.
Recipes
Ideas, your recipes and your home cooking
- Recipe ideas that fit your profile, your diets and your allergies.
- Your saved recipes are served again in one tap, with no new analysis.
- Your homemade mixes, a bolognese or a granola, are counted by the weight you serve yourself.
- A heart on your favorites, and they're at the top of the search.
Groceries
The anti-waste pantry
Log your groceries by scanning their barcode and use-by date. The app warns you the day before, and Miamelo+ suggests recipes with what needs to go first.
Progress
Your progress, and a review every week
Your consistency, your weight and the date you'll reach your goal, at the real pace of your weigh-ins. Every week and every month, Miamelo+ writes a review: averages, trends, and what keeps coming back, like a symptom always after the same kind of meal, or a short night before a day of snacking. Exportable as a PDF.
Cycle
Your cycle is taken into account
For women who want it, the cycle read from Apple Health feeds into the analyses. Luteal-phase cravings have a cause: the app gives you a heads-up and tells you what to favor.
Also in the app
Between meals
Apple Health, both ways
Miamelo reads your weight, expenditure, steps, sleep and cycle, and can write your meals and drinks to Health if you turn it on.
Hydration and symptoms
Your drinks, with the caffeine estimated, and your symptoms, to see what comes back after certain meals.
Widgets and Siri
Your calories and hydration on the Home Screen, and a glass of water added from Control Center or by asking Siri.
From another app
A recipe seen on a website, a photo: share it to Miamelo and it arrives ready to be analyzed.
Search
Your mixes, logged meals, foods, products and recipes are found in a few letters, even offline.
iCloud backup
Everything is backed up to your private iCloud, and comes back on a new iPhone.

Your data
Your health profile is only shared if you decide so
Conditions, diets, symptoms, cycle: this information is only attached to an analysis if you've agreed, and you can withdraw that consent with a switch. Without it, the app works, with less personalized analyses.
Your photos and entries are only used for you: they don't train any AI. Your log stays on your iPhone and in your private iCloud, not on our servers: the privacy policy explains it line by line.
Questions
What people ask us
Is it accurate?
Accurate enough to follow a trend, not for a prescription. Food recognition is good. The amounts are an estimate, which is why they can be corrected in two seconds. The calories come from official tables.
What can I do without paying?
Scan products by barcode and their use-by dates, with no limit, and log them; track hydration, symptoms and weight; manage your pantry with use-by alerts; pick from the recipe catalog; serve your mixes and saved recipes again. Photo analyses and the weekly review require the subscription.
Does my data go anywhere?
Your log stays on your iPhone, backed up to your private iCloud. An analysis sends the photo and, if you've allowed it, your health profile, just long enough to process it. Nothing is used to train an AI. No account to create.
Does the app speak my language?
French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese and Danish, for the interface, the analyses and the recipe catalog. The app follows your iPhone's language.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app and its iCloud backup. There's no account and no password, so nothing to close elsewhere and nothing left with us.
Does Miamelo replace a professional?
No. The links the app suggests between meals, symptoms and cycle are leads to check with a doctor or a dietitian.
